Aika Ally Gwaje

At 26, and the last born in a family of 7, Aika’s journey is proof of resilience and hidden strength. Like many Mama Jasiri women, she couldn’t continue with school after form 4 due to financial challenges.
In september 2024, she joined Mama Jasiri, and everything changed. weaving, welding and carpentry, Aika embraced it all. Though welding is her passion, she’s become so skilled at weaving that she now trains others.
Aika isn’t just a participant, she’s a blessing to the Mama Jasiri family, a young woman turning challenges into opportunities, and inspiring others along the way.
